Wheelchair Ramp Starter Plate The Schlagel Manufacturing Wheelchair Ramp Starter Plate makes building a wheelchair ramp for your home a snap. The plate is used as the interface between the ramp and your walkway or sidewalk. It is held in place with six lag bolts, and has attachment tabs for two 4"x4" studs to start the ramp's railing. The railing will be held in place with four carriage bolts which are supplied with the kit. The ramp is set to a 5 deg. slope and has a 2.5" lip at the top end. However, custom specifications can always be met. The walking surface of the plate is lined with grip tape to provide a non slip surface in all weather conditions.
